A-League: Roar out to upset Wanderers

Matchday 6 of the A-League will get underway with a cracker on Friday night when Brisbane Roar entertain Western Sydney Wanderers.

Brisbane, who have been struggling in the lower regions of the ladder in recent seasons, have started well and currently sit fifth.

However, the Wanderers are at the very top of the pile and are priced at 4.50 to go on and win the grand final this season. Roar can be backed at 11.00.

The state of the Suncorp pitch came in for some heavy criticism following Brisbane’s 2-1 win over Perth Glory at the weekend, and it will not have improved by Friday.

It is of course the same for both sides, but Western Sydney will not relish playing on it for the first time.

Hore the man for Roar

Brisbane Roar have started the season well with three wins and a draw in their opening five games of the season.

Their one defeat came away from home when they went down 5-2 at Wellington Phoenix, but apart from that blip, it has been a solid start to the season.

Roar have won both of their home games so far this season when thrashing Sydney FC 3-0 and then edging past Perth Glory 2-1 at the weekend.

They have also won 2-1 away at Central Coast Mariners and look a different side this season under the leadership of new coach Ross Aloisi.

Henry Hore continues to shine and grabbed another goal against Glory, to take his tally for the season to three.

Hore can be backed at 3.00 to score at anytime against the Wanderers on Friday night.

Brisbane also have a good record against the Wanderers at Suncorp and are unbeaten in the last three at the venue. Winning two and drawing one.

Last season was a high-scoring game with Brisbane winning 4-2 and over 2.5 goals can be backed at 1.53 in Friday’s game.

Wanderers fear for Borrello

Western Sydney have yet to lose this season, with three wins and two draws taking them to the top of the ladder.

The Wanderers picked up a huge 1-0 victory over Sydney FC in the derby clash at the weekend, but unfortunately it came at a cost.

Influential striker Brandon Borrello picked up a foot injury and will require scans to discover the extent of the damage. There are fears it could be broken which would be a huge blow for the Wanderers.

The one plus was young forward Zac Sapsford coming on to the pitch to replace Borrello before scoring the winning goal.

The 21-year-old can be relied upon again and he is priced at 5.00 to score at anytime in the game.

Three of the last six games between these two side have finished 1-1 and the same outcome is priced at 7.50.
