A-League: Roar set for United test

Brisbane Roar will be looking to continue their impressive start to the season when they travel to take on Western United on Friday night.

Roar have been more used to battling to avoid the wooden spoon in recent seasons, but look a different team under the leadership of Ross Aloisi.

They sit second on the ladder and are priced at 9.00 to go on and win the minor premiership this season.

In Friday’s second game, Western Sydney Wanderers and Adelaide United will be battling for a much-needed three points to get them closer to the top.

Both sides need to find some consistency if they are to challenge for honours this season.

Brisbane Roar are flying high after losing just one game so far this season. They are unbeaten in the last four, winning three of them.

Two of those wins have been on the road at Central Coast Mariners and Adelaide United so they will fancy their chances of another three points at AAMI Park.

Apart from a 5-2 drubbing at Wellington Phoenix, Roar have been keeping things tight at the back and are up against a Western side that have only scored three goals in seven games.

With that in mind both teams not to score is available at 2.50.

Roar do like to share the goals around, and both Henry Hore and Nikola Mileusnic look good at a slightly bigger price of 3.10 to score at anytime.

Lachlan Wales has got two of Western’s three goals this season and is priced at 4.00 to score at anytime.

Fifth take on sixth at CommBank Stadium and it has not been an ideal start for either side, but this game could be a thriller with goals.

Wanderers have drawn three of their seven games this season, while Adelaide have lost three to leave them two points further down the ladder.

Scoring goals has not been a problem for the Reds, but conceding them has been. They have kept just two clean sheets all season.

There are likely to be goals in this one and both teams to score is available at 1.44, the same price as over 2.5 goals to be scored.

A total of 19 goals have been scored over the last three games, and we could be in for another high-scoring affair at CommBank, where the last two games have been played.

Wanderers won one 5-1, Adelaide won the other 4-3, while it finished 4-4 the game before in Adelaide.

Zach Clough is a good price at 3.40 to score at anytime for Adelaide, while Marcus Antonsson scored a brace last weekend and is 2.05 in the same market.
