Brisbane Broncos v Wests Tigers: NRL Saturday Preview

Brisbane Broncos will look to make it three wins on the spin when they entertain Wests Tigers in the NRL on Saturday.

The Broncos are going well under the leadership of new head coach Michael Maguire, and currently sit in third spot on the ladder.

They have come out on top in two derby games in the last two weeks, beating the Cowboys and Dolphins.

Now they will look to continue the winning run against a new-look Tigers side that is battling hard in 2025.

Benji Marshall’s side have started with two wins and two defeats this season, and although they are the underdogs heading to Suncorp, they will be no pushovers.

On the whole their defence has been a lot better, and it will need to be spot on to cause an upset against the Broncos.

Broncos pile on the points

Brisbane have been scoring points for fun in the opening four games of the season.

Indeed the 118 points they have scored is their biggest tally after four rounds since way back in 1996.

They will look to do the same to the Tigers on Saturday, and are priced at 1.62 to win by 13+ points.

Kotoni Staggs has been in great form at Suncorp Stadium, scoring five tries in his past five games at the venue.

The talented centre can be backed at 12.00 to score the first try of the game, or 2.30 to grab one at anytime.

The Broncos will be missing Jordan Riki, who is suspended.

Luai blow for Tigers

Wests Tigers have been hit by the news that new recruit and star playmaker Jarome Luai will be missing through suspension.

Latu Fainu is set to take over at halfback and has big shoes to fill.

However the Tigers have shown great spirit this season and have looked far more solid in defence.

They slipped to a two-point loss against the Warriors last weekend, but on the whole, it has been a very positive start.

The Tigers do not have a great record at Suncorp Stadium, winning just two out of the last eight visits.

But they are a different animal these days and can be backed at 12.00 to cause an upset and nick the game by 1-5 points.
