Canterbury Bulldogs v Parramatta Eels: NRL Monday preview

Canterbury Bulldogs get the chance to return to winning ways in the NRL when they entertain Parramatta Eels in the King's Birthday clash on Monday.

The Bulldogs suffered an uncharacteristic 44-8 defeat against the Dolphins and were then forced to lick their wounds for longer because of the bye.

Cameron Ciraldo welcomes back a host of star players and the Bulldogs are sure to come out firing on all cylinders.

The Eels also head into the game on the back of a defeat after losing to Penrith Panthers last week.

Parramatta had won the two previous games and if they can rediscover that form, they could give the Bulldogs a run for their money at Accor Stadium.

The King's Birthday clash is always a special game and, if it is anything like last year, it will be a very close game.

Galvin to add bite for Bulldogs

New signing Lachlan Galvin is in the Bulldogs squad and is likely to play a part at some point.

He is one of several big inclusions, with Stephen Crichton, Max King and Kurt Mann also all available again following State of Origin.

Jacob Kiraz is also back following a calf injury and the winger is priced at 7.00 to score the first try of the game, or 1.87 to score at anytime.

The Bulldogs won the King's Birthday clash last year, 22-18, and can be backed at 3.40 to win by 1-12 points this season.

They are a different side this season, however, as they sit top of the ladder and are 2.30 to win by 13+ points.

Eels eye upset

Parramatta have a good record against the Bulldogs and will be out to keep that good run going on Monday.

They have won nine of the last 12 games against the Bulldogs at Accor Stadium and are 4.00 to win this latest meeting by 1-12 points.

The Eels can also take heart from the fact the Bulldogs have been leaking points, conceding 144 over the last five games.

It is still a tall order for the Eels however, as the Bulldogs in 2025 are a totally different proposition to previous years.

Parramatta have scored 18 points a game on average this season and can be backed at 1.75 to score over 16.5 on Monday.
