Dolphins v St George/Illawarra Dragons: NRL Friday preview

The Dragons will be targeting three wins in a row, but it will not be easy against the Dolphins at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.

After snapping a three-game losing streak, the Dragons have found some form that has moved them into the top eight.

The Dolphins will be a tough test, but the Red V can take heart from the fact they knocked over the Broncos at Suncorp in Round 11.

Sitting just two places and two points below the Dragons, the Dolphins area also right in the mix to make the top eight this season.

They head into the game on the back of a confidence boosting win over the Bulldogs, and have also had the chance to rest up during the bye.

The Dolphins also welcome back some key players and will be confident of getting the job done.

Hammer back for Dolphins

The Dolphins are boosted by the return of Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, who missed the last game while on State of Origin duty.

They managed just fine without him, smashing Canterbury Bulldogs 44-8 in the surprise result of the round.

Even so, the star fullback is a big inclusion for the Dolphins, and he has scored four tries in two games against the Dragons. He can be backed at 1.87 to grab another try at anytime.

Herbie Farnworth is also on a six-game try-scoring run, and can be backed at 2.10 to keep that run going by scoring another at any time.

The Dolphins have won just under half of the games they have played at Suncorp since entering the NRL.

They can be backed at 2.65 to win this one by 13+ points.

Dragons on fire

The Dragons are on a hot streak after winning the last two games, which included a 30-26 win over the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium.

That win should give them a boost ahead of their return to the venue, and they are 3.75 to win another close one by 1-12 points.

All in all their record at Suncorp has not been great though, winning just two games out of 10 played there.

Clint Gutherson has been key to the turnaround, scoring four tries in the last three games.

The gun fullback can be backed at 15.00 to score the first or last try, or 2.75 to score at anytime.

The Dragons are also boosted by the return of Christian Tuipulotu from a hamstring injury, and the winger is 1.95 to score at anytime.
