Dolphins v Wests Tigers: NRL Saturday Preview

The Dolphins are seeking their first win of the new 2025 NRL season when they entertain Wests Tigers on Saturday.

Both their defeats have been on the road, and they will be hoping home comforts can help them get the job done.

They have a great record at Redcliffe and they will be out to keep it going.

It will be far from easy though against a new-look Tigers side that beat Parramatta Eels last week, and will be looking to kick on.

New star signing Jarome Luai played a big part in that win, along with fellow new boys Terrell May and Sunia Turuva.

All three players will figure once again, and the Dolphins will have a job on their hands trying to contain them.

Dolphins back at Redcliffe

Now that Hurricane Alfred has been and gone, it is safe for the Dolphins to play in Queensland, and they are in desperate need of a win.

The Dolphins lost by four points against the Rabbitohs in their opening game, before losing 26-12 at Newcastle.

With the Broncos and the Panthers on the horizon, it is very important that the Dolphins pick up the two points against the Tigers.

They do have a great record at Redcliffe, winning four of the last six games at the venue, and they will be desperate to avoid a 0-3 start to the season.

Fullback Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow also loves Redcliffe, scoring six tries in the last three games he has played there.

He can be backed at 1.87 to keep that run going by scoring another at anytime.

There is likely to be little between the two sides, and the Dolphins are priced at 3.40 to win by 1-12 points.

Tigers looking good

It has been a positive start to the season for the Tigers, with their new signings slotting in nicely already.

After slipping to a two-point defeat against Newcastle, they bounced back in style when smashing the Eels 32-6.

Jarome Luai and Lachlan Galvin impressed together in the halves, while Terrell May and Sunia Turuva also caught the eye.

They do not have the best of records in Queensland, losing their last five games in the state.

However this is a different Tigers side, full of new belief, and they are also priced at 3.40 to win by 1-12.

Turuva scored three tries against the Eels and is 9.00 to grab the first of the game on Saturday.
