Gold Coast Titans v Manly Sea Eagles: NRL Friday preview

Gold Coast Titans will be aiming for just their fourth win of the season on Friday when they entertain Manly Sea Eagles.

The Titans are rock bottom of the NRL ladder having won game in the last five, and they are in desperate need of a lift.

To make matters worse, the Titans have also been hit by injury issues and call-ups to State of Origin.

There are no such issues for Manly this time after Daly Cherry-Evans was left out of the Queensland side, and he will be desperate to bounce back.

The Sea Eagles are also desperate for the win to boost their top-eight hopes, and will be going all out for the two points on the Gold Coast.

Duo out for Titans

Gold Coast are doing it tough at the moment after registering just three wins this season.

To make matters worse they will also be missing Tino Fa'asuamaleaui and prop Moeaki Fotuaika, who are both on Origin duty.

The Titans need a response after losing by 40 points to the Broncos last week, their third loss on the bounce.

It will be viewed as an upset if they can pick up the points on Friday, and they are 5.00 to win by 1-12 points.

They will also be playing their 200th game at Cbus Super Stadium, and will be keen to mark the occasion with win number 88 at the venue.

DCE in for Sea Eagles

Manly will be desperate to bounce back from a golden-point loss against Newcastle last week, when they take on the Titans.

To make matters worse, they were leading 16-0 at half-time, before allowing the Knights to come fight back in the second half.

There is some good news for the Sea Eagles as Cherry-Evans will be playing with a point to prove after being left out of the Queensland Origin side.

The playmaker can be backed at 3.75 to ease the pain by scoring a try at anytime.

Manly also have a good record against the Titans, winning five of the last seven games between the two sides.

They also have a solid record at Cbus Super Stadium, winning 10 of the 15 games they have played at the venue.

One of those wins was by four points last season. They will be targeting a more convincing win in 2025 and are 2.05 to win by 13+ points.
