Melbourne Storm will be determined to put grand final heartbreak behind them by winning the 2025 NRL title.
The Storm were the best side throughout the 2024 regular season, only to come unstuck in the grand final, losing 14-6 to Penrith Panthers.
However, they will have dusted themselves down and will be ready to come out firing in the season ahead.
If anyone is to break the dominance of the Panthers, the Storm look the lost likely to do it, but keeping their star players fit will be crucial.
Let’s take a look at how Melbourne Storm are shaping up ahead of the 2025 NRL season.
Craig Bellamy has been at the helm of the Storm since 2003 and the club could not be in better hands heading into the new season.
He has been in charge of 577 Storm games, with a win percentage of 70%, making him one of the greatest rugby league coaches the game has seen.
Bellamy has won a total of five premierships with the Storm, the last being in 2020 when they beat Penrith.
Storm have also lost their fair share of grand finals under Bellamy's charge, but one thing is for certain, there is never a dull moment.
Bellamy will be determined to bounce back from the 2024 grand final loss and it would take a brave man to bet against the Storm.
The 65-year-old has not lost any motivation or passion for the Storm and they are sure to be in the mix in 2025.
It goes without saying that Melbourne Storm are blessed with a top-quality roster, including Cameron Munster.
Munster had a tough season on the injury front in 2024 and admitted that he felt like he was playing on one leg for most of it.
The Storm did okay without him, but a fully fit and firing Munster will be a huge boost for the Storm as they look to win the grand final.
His halves partner, Jahrome Hughes, will also be a massive player for the Storm, as will gun fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen.
Storm also have one of the best hookers in the game in the form of Harry Grant, while Xavier Coates and Will Warbrick provide the firepower on the wings.
Powerful prop Nelson Asofa-Solomona will also need to keep a lid on his discipline.
He was suspended for the grand final in 2024 and it has been suggested his absence was a major factor in his side the game.
Melbourne Storm are priced at 3.75 to end Penrith Panthers’ dominance by winning the 2025 NRL grand final.
They are 3.50 to be Regular Season Winner, as they were in 2024, while the Storm are 1.45 to secure a top-four finish.
