Penrith Panthers will attempt to pick up back-to-back wins for the first time in the NRL this season when they entertain Manly Sea Eagles.

The reigning premiers have fallen off their perch in 2025 and face a battle to make the top eight between now and the end of the campaign.

They looked more like the Penrith that has won the last four grand finals when they dismantled Sydney Roosters at the weekend, but they need to build on it.

A home clash against a Manly side that is also struggling for form, presents them with the ideal opportunity.

The Sea Eagles have lost the last three games on the bounce and also face a big battle to make finals, which means this is a huge game for both sides.

Panthers looking to kick on

Boosted by just their second win of the season, Penrith have a great opportunity to big up another crucial two points against the Sea Eagles.

History is on their side after they picked up nine wins out of the last 10 meetings with Manly and desperately need another.

In this fixture last season they won by 10 points and can be backed at 3.25 to win this one by 1-12 points, while they are 2.45 to win by 13+ points.

Saturday’s clash will be played at CommBank Stadium and the Panthers have won 13 out of the 28 games they have used it as a home venue.

Nathan Cleary was influential in the win over the Roosters and will be a big player once again.

Centre Casey McLean is also in good touch, ahving scored five tries in the last six games and he can be backed at 2.45 to score another at anytime.

Manly handed Trbo boost

The Sea Eagles are in desperate need of a lift, and the return of Tom Trbojevic is just what the doctor ordered.

Manly are a different team when the gun fullback is in their side. He has been missing for the last three games with a knee injury and the Sea Eagles have lost all three.

Trbojevic can be backed at 2.35 to mark his return to the side with a try at anytime.

The Sea Eagles do not have a great record at CommBank, losing the last three visits there and will be desperate to snap the streak.

If they are to get the job done it is likely to be tight and they are 4.00 to win by 1-12 points.
