Blues stars to be sorely missed

Losing the likes of Nathan Cleary, Dylan Edwards, Isaah Yeo, Brian To'o and Liam Martin to Blues duty, Penrith head coach Ivan Cleary will be relying heavily on the depth of his squad.

The Panthers have coped with this spell over Origin well in the past but victories have been harder to come by for the reigning NRL champions this season.

Winning just three of their opening 10 games of the campaign, Penrith are already playing catch-up and they will be determined to make home advantage count when they host a struggling Knights’ side on Saturday.

With three wins in their last four outings in Bathurst, the Panthers are the 1.47 favourites to claim their fourth victory of the season this weekend.

Knights must get back in the saddle

Losing to the Gold Coast Titans and the Parramatta Eels in their last two games, Newcastle are figuring out how they can stop the rot.

Scoring just six points last time out against the Eels, a lack of cutting edge in attack has been an issue for the Knights.

Newcastle have averaged only 13 points per game in 2025 and that has been hurting this side, who currently occupy 16th place on the ladder with only the Eels below them.

The Knights have won only three of their last 10 games played outside Newcastle and they are the 2.75 underdogs to come away from Bathurst with the victory.

Having failed to win any of their last 10 meetings with the Panthers, it looks set to be an uphill battle for the Knights this weekend.
