After opening the season with a win in Las Vegas, Penrith Panthers are back on home soil on Friday night when they entertain Sydney Roosters.

The Panthers are out to make it five premierships in a row, and they got the season off to a great start with a win over the Sharks in Vegas.

They are the hot fancies to turn over a Roosters side that are missing key players and were pumped against Brisbane Broncos in Round 1.

The Roosters will be playing for pride, but it will be a huge upset if they beat the Panthers in their own backyard.

They last beat Penrith way back in 2019 and that drought looks set to continue for at least one more game.

To’o back to boost Panthers

Penrith once again showed how much strength in depth they have as they beat Cronulla Sharks in Las Vegas.

No matter who has moved on or who is missing, the Panthers always have quality players ready to step in and fill the void.

That was on show as they beat the Sharks 28-22, and they will be even stronger when they take on the Roosters.

Star winger Brian To’o has recovered from a hamstring injury and is ready to make his first appearance of the season.

To’o can be backed at 6.00 to mark his return by scoring the first try of the game, or 1.55 to score at anytime.

The Roosters conceded 50 points against the Broncos at the weekend and they will struggle to contain the Panthers as well.

Penrith can be backed at 1.42 to win by 13+ points.

More injury woe for Roosters

Just when it looked as though things could not get much worse for the Roosters, they have been hit by more bad luck on the injury front.

Already missing Sam Walker and Brandon Smith, the Roosters will now also have to do without Victor Radley.

Radley will be missing with concussion, while Nat Butcher is also on the sidelines.

After losing the last 10 games on the bounce against the Panthers, it is hard to see Trent Robinson’s side getting anything from this one.

At least they have gun winger Dominic Young, who has scored 22 tries in 23 games since joining the Roosters.

The winger can be backed at 2.55 to score another at anytime.
