South Sydney Rabbitohs v Canterbury Bulldogs: NRL Sunday preview

Canterbury Bulldogs are set to have their strength in depth tested when they take on South Sydney Rabbitohs on Sunday.

The Bulldogs are sitting pretty at the top of the NRL ladder but will be missing a host of star players because of State of Origin.

If they can come through the Origin period in good shape, the Bulldogs could take some stopping this season.

South Sydney continue to be hit by injuries as they fight hard to make the top eight and play finals.

After losing the last two games, they need to stop the rot, but it will be far from easy against a Bulldogs side that thrashed them earlier this season.

Bunnies missing star duo

South Sydney will be missing influential duo Cody Walker and Latrell Mitchell when they entertain the Bulldogs at Accor Stadium.

Mitchell is away on State of Origin duty with New South Wales, while Walker has been added to an already lengthy injury list.

Souths do have a good record against the Bulldogs, having won six of the last eight meetings, but the balance of power has started to shift.

It will be viewed as an upset if South Sydney come out on top, and they can be backed at 4.00 to win by 1-12 points.

Their record at Accor Stadium is not great, however, indeed they have managed to win just three of the last eight games at the venue.

In Alex Johnston they have a player who loves to score tries and the winger has 16 in 18 games against the Bulldogs.

He can be backed at 1.91 to grab another at anytime on Sunday.

Bulldogs' squad depth to be tested

The Bulldogs will be missing captain Stephen Crichton, lock Kurt Mann, prop Max King and five-eighth Matt Burton, who are all on Origin duty.

They still have a side capable of getting the job done, however, with new signing Lachlan Galvin set to be handed his first start.

The Bulldogs smashed the Rabbitohs on Good Friday this year, winning 32-0, and will be looking to do the same on Sunday.

A victory by 13+ points can be backed at 2.55 and the Bulldogs still have the firepower to romp to a good win.

Jacob Kiraz is always a big threat and is priced at 12.00 to score the first try of the game, or 2.55 to grab one at anytime.
