Manly Sea Eagles take on South Sydney Rabbitohs and need the two points to keep their hopes of making the top eight alive.

The Sea Eagles have not been in great form but managed to return to winning ways in the NRL against Wests Tigers last week.

It was just their second victory in five games and now they need another against a Rabbitohs side that is on the slide.

The bunnies have lost the last five games on the bounce, conceding 171 points along the way, and they are in desperate need of a lift.

Wayne Bennett's men will not be helped by the fact both Latrell Mitchell and Cody Walker are both missing.

Souths do have a great record against Manly, but they head into Sunday's clash as big underdogs.

Sea Eagles hit back to tame Tigers

Manly returned to winning ways with a 28-10 win over Wests Tigers last week but now need to kick on against the Rabbitohs.

They are on home turf, but that has not been much help in recent seasons.

Indeed, the last time they beat the Rabbitohs at 4 Pines Park was way back in 2019, so they will be desperate to snap that streak.

They may not get a better chance against a bunnies side in free fall and they can be backed at 2.20 to win by 13+ points.

They are boosted by the fact that Daly Cherry-Evans and Jake Trbojevic are not on Origin duty, while Tom Trbojevic impressed against the Tigers.

Tolo Koula has scored a try in each of the last six games at 4 Pines Park and is priced at 2.05 to score another at anytime.

Souths in need of a boost

South Sydney have won eight of the last nine games against the Sea Eagles, and will be hoping that domination can continue.

It will take a huge effort however as they are a team on the slide, and missing both Mitchell, who is on Origin duty, and Walker, who is injured.

They do have plenty of experience still, including Jack Wighton, who has scored five tries in his last five games at 4 Pines Park.

Wighton is a big price at 4.75 to score another at anytime.

Try-scoring machine Alex Johnston will move to fullback to cover Mitchell but is still 2.30 to score at anytime.

Souths need to grind out a win and are priced at 4.50 to win a tight one by 1-12 points.
