Sydney Roosters will hope to return to winning ways when they host the Gold Coast Titans on Friday night.

After stunning the Penrith Panthers, the Roosters came crashing back down to earth with a defeat against the Warriors in New Zealand.

Back on home soil, they will look to put the loss behind them by taking the two points off the Gold Coast Titans.

The Titans will head in to the game full of confidence however after beating the Newcastle Knights by 20 points at the weekend.

They do not have a great recent record against the Roosters though, losing the last two, and will need to turn the tables.

It is a massive game for both sides, but even more so for the Roosters, who cannot afford to drop more points on home soil.

Roosters suffer Warriors setback

The Roosters faithful will have been feeling hopeful following the shock win over the Penrith Panthers in Round 2.

However some of that hope will have been distinguished following the 14-6 loss against the Warriors.

They are not being helped by a crippling injury list that has seen Connor Watson added to it following a head knock.

With Sam Walker and Brandon Smith still out, the Roosters are missing some big hitters.

However they showed what they are capable of against the Panthers, and will fancy their chances back on home soil.

They have won the last two meeting by 26 and 18 points respectively, and both games were on the Gold Coast.

The Roosters are priced at 2.80 to win the last clash by 13+ points.

Titans look to kick on

The Gold Coast were impressive as they beat Newcastle by 20 points, and will now look to kick on against the Roosters.

However travelling to Sydney and getting the job done at Allianz Stadium is another test altogether.

Jayden Campbell will be key for the Titans after starring in the win over the Knights, scoring a try, kicking three conversions and two penalties.

Jojo Fifita, David Fifita and Beau Fermor also got their names on the try-scoring sheet as the Titans bossed the game.

They can now be backed at 3.75 to cause an upset and win by 1-12 points.
