Reds v Western Force: Super Rugby Saturday Preview

The Reds and Western Force both earned wins in Round 6 of Super Rugby Pacific and next they will see how they rate against each other in an all-Aussie showdown at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday.

Beating the Highlanders 29-23 in Dunedin last time out, the Reds have continued their impressive start to the 2025 campaign.

Head coach Les Kiss and his side can now look forward to returning to the home comforts of Brisbane and the Suncorp Stadium for a showdown with Western Force this weekend.

The Force ran riot against Fijian Drua with a 52-15 victory in Perth last week and will be heading to Queensland looking to cause an upset against the Reds on their own patch.

Reds must build on Dunedin display

Battling back to earn that impressive win at Forsyth Barr Stadium, the Reds will be eager to build on that performance when they host the Force this week.

Winning five of their last six Super Rugby Pacific encounters with the Force, this fixture has been kind to the Queensland outfit over the years.

Scoring four or more tries in each of those games in that spell, this has tended to be a high-scoring game for the Reds.

Western Force have shown signs of progress and will be a tougher proposition this weekend than in the past but the Reds are still the 1.40 favourites to claim the win in Brisbane.

Western a Force to be reckoned with

Winning just four games in the entirety of last season, Western Force have already won three games in the first six rounds of this year’s tournament.

Still conceding too many tries for their liking at an average of just over 36 points per game, defence is an area head coach Simon Cron and his side are working on.

The Force will need to produce one of their best defensive displays of the season so far to stop the Reds on their own patch, with the Perth outfit at 3.10 to head back across the country with the victory.
