Chiefs and Crusaders currently lead the way on the Super Rugby Pacifica ladder, with the New Zealand pair level on points after winning seven of their nine games played.
However, the next four places are all occupied by Australian franchises, with the Brumbies leading the way and trailing the joint leaders by just four points.
Chiefs - 2.37
Crusaders - 4.00
Blues - 5.50
Brumbies - 7.50
Reds - 10.00
Hurricanes - 17.00
Waratahs - 29.00
Western Force - 51.00
Chiefs - 2.37
The Chiefs have not won the Super Rugby title since 2013 and they certainly have a point to prove after losing in the Grand Final in each of the last two seasons - to Crusaders and Blues.
Head coach Clayton McMillan's side have won seven of the nine games they have played so far this season and their most recent outing saw them thump Highlanders 46-10, running in six tries to one in Waikato.
Flyhalf Damian McKenzie has been the driving force for Chiefs, racking up a tournament-leading 117 points across those nine games, a tally 35 more than any other player in the competition.
Crusaders - 4.00
The Crusaders are currently level on points with Chiefs at the top pf the Super Rugby ladder, having also won seven of their nine matches played.
However, they were beaten 49-24 when they clashed with Chiefs earlier on in the season, while their only other reverse was a shock 45-29 loss to Moana Pasifika.
Last time out they claimed a thrilling 25-22 victory over the reigning champion Blues thanks to a last-gasp penalty from James O'Connor and the Crus will be eager to add to their record of five titles across the last six fully completed seasons.
Blues - 5.50
The Blues ended a more than two-decade wait for another Super Rugby title last season, but have made a surprisingly slow start to the new campaign, losing six of their nine matches to lie way down in eighth place on the ladder.
Vern Cotter's side's record does not tell the whole story as they have lost two games by a single point, one of which was against the ladder-leading Chiefs, while last time out they were beaten by just three points by Crusaders.
The Wellington franchise certainly have work to do to make their back towards the top of the standings, but they showed last season what they are capable of, which is shown by their place in the outright market.
Brumbies - 7.50
The Brumbies are currently the highest-placed Australian team on the ladder, having won six and lost three of the nine games they have played so far this season.
Stephen Larkham's team have won their last three in Super Rugby and five of their last six, with their most recent outing seeing them triumph 24-0 against Moana Pasifika.
That form has raised hopes that the Brumbies might be able to challenge for a third Super Rugby title, having been crowned champions back in 2001 and 2004, while their most recent Grand Final appearance came in 2013, when they lost 27-22 to Chiefs.
Reds - 10.00
The Reds have a game in hand on the teams above the on the ladder after sitting out the latest round of fixtures, but they headed into a bye week on the back of defeats to Chiefs and then Brumbies.
They will need to try and turn that form around as quickly as possible, but when they return to the field they do at home to Blues, which could offer a big clue to how the rest of the season might pan out.
