NRL: Sharks and Broncos clash on super Saturday

There is a massive game at the top of the NRL ladder to look forward to on Saturday evening when Cronulla Sharks entertain Brisbane Broncos.

As things stand, there are four teams locked on 18 points at the top of the ladder and the Sharks and Broncos are two of them.

The Sharks are in second place due to a better points difference, while the Broncos are in third. It is all set up for a classic at PointsBet Stadium.

South Sydney Rabbitohs are also in action when they travel to the Gold Coast to take on the Titans and they are in need of a good result after losing the last two.

To wrap up the action on Saturday, we have another great game to look forward to as the Dolphins head over to Auckland to take on the New Zealand Warriors.

Both sides are currently in the eight and hope to stay there come the end of the season.

The game of the day, if not the round, has to be the second-placed Sharks against the Broncos in third. Whether it lives up to expectations remains to be seen, but it should be a great game.

The Sharks bounced back from a home defeat against the Dolphins to beat Manly Sea Eagles and Newcastle Knights and are in good form.

Brisbane lost back-to-back games against Melbourne Storm and Penrith Panthers, but will be feeling better after edging out the Warriors by four points last week, even without their State of Origin stars.

Coach Kevin Walters will be hoping the bulk of them, including Reece Walsh and Payne Haas, will be ready to return on Saturday, while the Sharks will be thinking the same regards key playmaker Nicho Hynes.

Sharks winger Ronaldo Mulitalo has been in hot form at PointsBet Stadium, scoring 19 tries in his last 18 games at the venue and is priced at 1.83 to score at anytime on Saturday.

Trio back in for Warriors

The Warriors will have been licking their wounds all week following the narrow loss to the Broncos and are sure to come out firing against the Dolphins.

They got their season off to a flyer, but the bubble has burst following four defeats in the last five games, and they need to get back on track.

Having key trio Wayde Egan, Dylan Walker and Mitch Barnett back in action will certainly help their cause.

The Warriors have won three from five in New Zealand this season and it will be interesting to see how they go against a Dolphins side that plays outside of Australia for the first time.

That should not worry Wayne Bennett’s side as they have already overcome bigger challenges this season.

Jamayne Isaako is in red-hot form at the moment and the Dolphins winger can be backed at 10.00 to score the first try.

Mitchell out for Souths

Both the Titans and Rabbitohs have lost back-to-back games and will be desperate to avoid a third straight loss on Saturday.

It could be argued that the Gold Coast have a slight advantage as they had a bye last weekend so should be well rested and raring to go.

The Rabbitohs lost against the Eels and Raiders and will be hoping the return of their Origin stars can help them bounce back.

However, there will be no Latrell Mitchell after the Blues star pulled out of game one with a calf injury.

The Titans have won four out of the last five games at Cbus Super Stadium, but last beat the bunnies at the venue way back in 2019.

Souths winger Alex Johnston scored two tries in the defeat to the Raiders and is priced at 1.45 to score at anytime against the Titans.
