The Matildas slipped to a 1-0 defeat in Western Australia and will be keen to respond when they face Panama for a second time on Tuesday.
It was the first loss under new head coach Joe Montemurro, who was missing a host of experienced stars and had to field a weakened side.
Even so, the fringe players that came in would have been expected to do better and they will need to bounce back in game two.
Tuesday night's clash will be played at HBF Park in Perth and the Matildas will be out to put on a show.
Australia will once again field a new-look line-up when they take on Panama in Perth on Tuesday night.

Panama proved to be tough opposition with a physical approach and another low-scoring game could be on the cards.
Michelle Heyman missed a great chance to equalise at the death in the first game and the veteran striker will be desperate to make amends on Tuesday.
Boosted by the shock 1-0 victory in Bunbury on Saturday, Panama will be out for back-to-back wins against the Matildas.
