Adelaide United are in desperate need of all three points when they travel to take on Brisbane on Tuesday, as they look to secure a place in the top six.

With just two rounds of the regular season remaining, the race to make finals could not be tighter, and Adelaide are in the thick of it.

The clash with Roar is their game in hand, and three points would go a long way to booking their place in the top six with games against Wellington and Central Coast to follow.

Picking up three points at Suncorp will be easier said than done though as Roar still have plenty to play for.

They are battling to avoid the wooden spoon, and are in need of points to fight off Perth Glory, who currently occupy bottom spot on the ladder.

Brisbane come Roaring back

Brisbane are battling to avoid the wooden spoon and gave their chances a huge boost with a shock win over Western United.

Roar have shown on more than one occasion that they are capable of upsetting the odds, and they did it again with a 2-1 win.

Florin Berenguer was on the scoresheet with one of the goals and he can be backed at 2.75 to score again at anytime on Tuesday night.

Brisbane now have two wins out of the last five games, and should head into the Adelaide clash with some confidence.

The two sides have already played each other on two occasions this season, and both have been close encounters.

In March it ended 1-1 at Coopers Stadium, while Adelaide edged a five-goal thriller 3-2 at Suncorp back in November.

Over 2.5 goals in the latest battle can be backed at 1.40, while under 2.5 goals is available at 3.00.

Reds back on track

Adelaide’s top six hopes looked to be faded away following a succession of defeats, but three points in the last game got them back on track.

They beat Wellington Phoenix in another 3-2 thriller and now need to make sure they back it up with another three points against Roar.

Scoring goals has not been an issue for the Reds this season, but letting them in has been, conceding 54 in total.

Only Perth Glory have conceded more and they need to tighten up if they are to have any chance of success this season.

Archie Goodwin continues to be a bright spark for Adelaide, scoring again in the win over the Phoenix.

The strike ace can be backed at 6.00 to score the first or last goal of the game, or 2.37 to score at anytime.

Another 3-2 win for Adelaide can also be backed at a bumper 17.00.
