Everton on a high after Wolves win

It has been a mixed few days for Everton, who suffered a 4-0 defeat against Manchester United at the weekend, before bouncing back in style against Wolves.

A 4-0 win at Goodison Park on Wednesday night will have them feeling good about themselves heading into the Liverpool game.

If they can carry that feel-good factor into the clash, then an upset could be on the cards.

Scoring goals has been an issue for Everton, they have just 14 in the 14 games played, and four of those came against Wolves. Two of which were own goals.

Trying to break down a Liverpool defence that is the tightest in the Premier League, conceding just 11 goals so far, is going to be a big ask.

Before the Wolves win, Everton had failed to score in the previous four games, and had scored just one goal in five.

They have been involved in three goalless draws this season, and there best hope could be attempting to scrap out one more on Saturday.

Reds out to bounce back

Liverpool dropped rare points on Wednesday night when being held to a 3-3 draw at Newcastle, and they will be keen to get back on track.

There were still positives to take from the game, with Mo Salah continuing his rich vein of form with another two goals.

The striker continues to shine and Everton will struggle to contain him once again.

Liverpool have won two of the last three Merseyside derbies 2-0, but both games were at Anfield, and a clash at Goodison is a tougher test.
