Bulls need more clean sheets

Macarthur got the season off to a flying start with a 6-1 win over Perth Glory, but it has been a mixed bag since.

Their second win came courtesy of a 2-1 win over Sydney FC, but their main issues so far this season has been a failure to keep clean sheets.

They have yet to keep one, so need to score at least two goals a game to have a chance of getting the win.

The Bulls became Auckland FC’s latest victim last weekend when losing 1-0, and all three of their defeats have been tight.

Newcastle Jets and Melbourne Victory both beat them 2-1 as their failure to keep it tight at the back cost them once again.

Scoring at the end has not been an issue, scoring 10 goals over the five games played.

Macarthur do have a good record against Brisbane and have not lost to them in the last six outings.

Brisbane yet to Roar

Brisbane have lost their opening four games of the season, conceding 10 goals and managing to score just four.

Perth Glory have conceded way more and scored less, but sit above Roar on the ladder as they have at least managed to scramble a 0-0 draw.

They have been involved in two five-goal thrillers on home soil, but unfortunately for them, they were on the receiving end of both against Adelaide United and Sydney FC.

Auckland FC and Melbourne Victory both beat them 2-0, and once again, conceding too many goals is an issue.

Games between these two sides are more often than not, high scoring. Indeed four of the last six games have produced at least three goals.

Roar have scored four goals this season, and each one has been scored by a different player.
