UEFA Champions League: Quarter-final second leg Thursday preview

Arsenal produced one of the greatest nights the Emirates has ever witnessed last week but manager Mikel Arteta knows there is still work to be done ahead of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg on Thursday morning.

The Gunners head to the Santiago Bernabeu on the back of a 3-0 win over Real Madrid in the first leg in north London, while Thursday will also see Inter Milan defend their 2-1 advantage going into their second-leg clash at the San Siro against Bayern Munich.

While a comeback for most teams would seem impossible, there is just something about Real Madrid and the UEFA Champions League that suggests this tie is not over just yet.

Real are 1.70 for the win on the night, 3.90 to draw, while a famous Arsenal win at the Santiago Bernabeu is available at 4.75.

From 3-0 down after the first leg, Carlo Ancelotti’s Real are 6.50 to qualify for the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.

Inter Milan v Bayern Munich

Stunning Bayern Munich on their own patch at the Allianz Arena, Inter Milan hold a slender 2-1 advantage going into an intriguing second leg at the San Siro.

Lautaro Martinez and Davide Frattesi scored the goals in Bavaria, on a night in which Thomas Muller thought he’d earn Bayern a 1-1 draw with his 85th-minute effort.

Bayern now have work to do but it won’t be easy at the San Siro, a ground where Inter are currently on a nine-game winning streak in all competitions.

The Nerazzurri are 2.62 to win on Thursday morning, with Bayern at 2.50 to secure the victory in Milan.

A draw, that would take Inter through to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League, is currently available at odds of 3.60.
