Tottenham's dismal Premier League season could get a little bit worse as Sunday turns into Monday when they head to Molineux to take on a Wolves side who have hauled themselves clear of relegation danger.
Spurs lie down in 14th place ahead of the latest round of matches and have little to play for, with their main focus the UEFA Europa League, with the Lilywhites having drawn 1-1 at home to Eintracht Frankfurt in the first leg of their quarter-final tie.
Wolves, meanwhile, have surged 12 points clear of the relegation places on the back of three consecutive victories and can move to within two points of the Londoners with a win on Monday.
Wolves' recent upturn in form has seen them claim crucial wins against Southampton, West Ham and, most recently, Ipswich Town, with head coach Vitor Pereira having overseen seven of the team's nine league wins this season since his arrival shortly before Christmas.
The three victories over teams around them on the ladder - all by one-goal margins - are even more impressive given that star forward Matheus Cunha has been absent due to suspension.
The 25-year-old Brazil international is now free to return to club duty and will hope to earn a start as he looks to add to the 15 goals he has scored for the Old Gold already this season.
However, he faces a fight for a place up top, with Norwegian Jorgen Strand Larsen having netted four times across the wins over the Saints, Hammers and Tractor Boys to more than stake his claim to start again.
Strand Larsen was on target late on when these two sides met at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium just after Christmas, with his strike securing a 2-2 draw in the capital and extending Wolves' unbeaten record against Spurs to four matches.
Strand Larsen is 3.00 to score at anytime on Monday, while the returning Cunha can be backed at 5.50 to score the final goal of the game.
Spurs may have been held to a 1-1 draw by Eintracht Frankfurt on Friday, but head coach Ange Postecoglou was happy with the performance, while admitting: "I'm resigned to the fact that the football gods have got their eyes elsewhere this year."
The Lilywhites carved out more than enough chances to have won the game, but are very much still in the tie ahead of the return leg in Germany next week.
Now Postecoglou has to lift his players for the trip to Molineux and defender Micky van de Ven and Destiny Udogie are expected to play some part despite having suffered with cramp in the clash with Frankfurt.
However, the game comes too soon for both forward Dejan Kulusevski (ankle) and defender Kevin Danso (hamstring), although the former may be ready for Europa League action next week.
The Aussie head coach obviously has some tricky selection issues to deal with, as he aims to keep his key men fit and ready for the crunch showdown in Frankfurt, while also trying to build on a 3-1 win over Southampton last time out in the league.
Richarlison and Mathys Tel may be drafted in in attack, while the likes of Archie Gray, Ben Davies, Djed Spence and Yves Bissouma will be hoping for starts after being named on the bench on Friday.
