NRL: Storm set to continue strong start

Melbourne Storm will be out to continue their strong start to the season, and pile more pressure on South Sydney Rabbitohs, when they meet on Anzac Day.

The Storm are looking strong after winning five from six games this season and are priced at 6.50 to go on and win the grand final.

Souths on the other hand have won just one game, and the pressure is mounting on head coach Jason Demetriou.

There are three games to look forward to do on Anzac Day with the Warriors versus the Titans getting the action underway.

That is followed by the traditional Anzac Day clash between the Dragons and Roosters that has a habit of throwing up a tight, exciting game.

Warriors need to start performing

. What: New Zealand Warriors v Gold Coast Titans
. Where: Go Media Stadium, Auckland
. When: 15:00, Thursday 25th April 2024
. How to watch: Kayo, Foxtel
. Odds: New Zealand Warriors 1.15, Gold Coast Titans 5.00

The New Zealand Warriors were tipped to go well in 2024, but it has been a stuttering start when winning just three of their opening seven games.

Win number four against a Titans side that have yet to taste victory is an absolute must and the pressure is on.

The Warriors beat the Titans by 10 points on the Gold Coast last season and can be backed at 1.91 to win by 13+ on this occasion.

The Titans did pull off a shock one-point win on their last trip to Auckland in 2022 and are 5.50 to win by 1-12 points.

Dragons out to build on Warriors win

. What: St George/Illawarra Dragons v Sydney Roosters
. Where: Allianz Stadium, Sydney
. When: 17:05, Thursday 25th April 2024
. How to watch: Kayo, Foxtel, Channel 9
. Odds: St George/Illawarra Dragons 2.75, Sydney Roosters 1.45

The Dragons are performing above expectations this season when winning four games, including an 18-point win over the Warriors at the weekend.

Sydney Roosters have yet to hit their straps and sit two points below the Dragons, with three wins and four defeats.

Trent Robinson’s side have won just one in the last four and need a result against the Red V.

The last two meetings have been very close, with no more than two points in it.

Anzac Day 2023 saw the Roosters win by just one point, and they are 3.25 to win by 1-12 points this year.

The Dragons are 3.75 to win within the same margin.

Storm looking to power on

. What: Melbourne Storm v South Sydney Rabbitohs
. Where: AAMI Park, Melbourne
. When: 20:50, Thursday 25th April 2024
. How to watch: Kayo, Foxtel, Channel 9
. Odds: Melbourne Storm 1.25, South Sydney Rabbitohs 4.00

Melbourne Storm have shown their title credentials so far this season and head into the game on the back of win number five.

They saw off the Roosters by six points, and although they are winning, the Storm have been involved in a number of tight games.

Their biggest winning margin has been eight points, but they will be looking to put that right against a Rabbitohs side that have conceded 78 points over the last two games.

The Storm can be backed at 1.91 to win by 13+ points.
