The 2024 T20 Women's World Cup will be the ninth staging of the global event, with 10 teams taking part in the tournament in Bangladesh and Australia are aiming to lift the trophy for the fourth consecutive time.
The Southern Stars have dominated the tournament, reaching the final seven times - only missing out in the inaugural competition back in 2009 - and been crowned champions on six occasions.
Under the outstanding leadership of Meg Lanning, the Aussies triumphed back in 2014 when the competition was previously held in Bangladesh.

The final, at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka, takes place on Sunday 20th October.
The action is confined to two venues, with the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka home to every match in Group B, as well as one semi-final and the final.

Ten teams will be involved in the 2024 T20 Women's World Cup, with two groups of five seeing the top two finishers move on to the semi-final stage.
Bangladesh qualify as hosts, while Australia, England, India, South Africa, New Zealand and West Indies qualify by virtue of their performances at the last T20 World Cup, with Pakistan the next highest-ranking team.
Sri Lanka and tournament debutants Scotland clinched their spots via the T20 Women's World Cup Qualifier.
Group A: Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka.
Group B: England, West Indies, South Africa, Bangladesh, Scotland.
This will be the ninth occasion on which the T20 Women's World Cup has been held, with the inaugural tournament won by hosts England back in 2009, while the most recent event took place in South Africa in 2023 and was won by Australia.
Australia have absolutely dominated the T20 Women's World Cup, winning the tournament six times - in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2018, 2020 and 2023.
They also reached the final in 2016 but were beaten by eight wickets by West Indies, with England the only other team to have lifted the trophy, back in 2009.
England have also lost in three finals, all to Australia, while New Zealand were runners-up in both 2009 and 2010 and hosts South Africa were beaten finalists in 2023.
Unsurprisingly Australia are the hot fancies at 1.72 to win the T20 Women's World Cup for a record-extending seventh time, with 4.50 India and 5.50 England expected to be their main rivals.
South Africa are available at 17.00 in the outright market, with West Indies at 19.00, while tournament hosts Bangladesh are way out at 151.00 and Scotland are the rank outsiders at 201.00.
