The 2024 NRL season is proving to be another exciting one and there has been no shortage of tries.
Five players have all scored nine tries, but it is very tight and things could change in the coming weeks.
Here are the leading try-scorers after 11 rounds of action.
Dominic Young @ 7.50
Dominic Young had an outstanding season with Newcastle Knights in 2023 when scoring 23 tries in 24 games.
That led to a move to the Sydney Roosters and the good form has continued into 2024.
Young has had injury issues but was back in the side at the weekend and helped himself to a couple of tries in the defeat against the Sharks.
The Englishman has eight tries in eight games and there is surely more to come as the Roosters look to challenge for the premiership.
Ronaldo Mulitalo @ 9.00
Cronulla Sharks have got the season off to an electric start and currently sit top of the NRL ladder with 20 points.
They have been helped in part by try-scoring machine Ronaldo Mulitalo, who has scored nine tries in 10 appearances.
The winger scored 20 tries in the 2023 campaign and is well on the way to surpassing that.
Mulitalo scored one of the Sharks six tries as they beat the Roosters 38-30 in Magic Round.
Deine Mariner @ 9.00
Along with Brisbane Broncos team-mate Reece Walsh, Deine Mariner has stood out so far this season with nine tries from nine appearances.
The centre only made his Broncos debut in 2022 and featured just four times last season.
However, he is now a regular in the Broncos side and scored a crucial try as they beat Manly Sea Eagles 13-12 in Magic Round.
Sunia Turuva @ 10.00
Penrith Panthers are never short of a try-scoring machine and in 2024 Sunia Turuva is stepping up to the plate.
Turuva had a blank afternoon for once as the Panthers slipped to a surprise 22-20 defeat against the Warriors on Sunday.
However, he has scored nine tries in nine appearances, five more than fellow winger Brian To’o.
Turuva has a massive role to play as the Panthers go in search of their fourth grand final win on the bounce.
Reece Walsh @ 10.00
Reece Walsh has been hit with injuries so far this season and was again missing as Brisbane Broncos beat the Manly Sea Eagles in Magic Round.
However, when he has played, Walsh has again proven he is one of the big stars in the NRL.
The fullback has scored nine tries in eight NRL appearances in 2024 and, if he stays fit and on the park, he could finish top of the pile come the end of the season.
Jack Bostock @ 19.00
The Dolphins continue to surprise in the NRL and Jack Bostock is playing his part.
Bostock scored his ninth try in 10 games as the Dolphins beat the Wests Tigers 24-12 in Magic Round.
Jamayne Isaaco was the main man for the Dolphins in 2023 as he finished the season as the leading tryscorer with 24 tries.
He has six to his name in 2024, but it is Bostock’s turn to lead the way.
