Premier League: Tottenham ready to cut down Forest

Tottenham can jump back into the top four and the Premier League places by picking up all three points at home to Nottingham Forest.

Ange Postecoglou’s men sit in fifth spot in the Premier League, just three points behind Aston Villa in fourth, but they have played two games less.

One of the games in hand comes against Forest and nothing other than three points will do.

Spurs, who are priced at 1.53 to make the top four, will also be looking to boost their goals-for column, just in case it comes down to goal difference.

As things stand, Tottenham have a goal difference of 18, compared to Villa’s 17, so there is nothing really in it.

Forest also have everything to play for as they look to avoid relegation. They are 3.00 to suffer the drop and will be fighting for their lives to ensure that does not happen.

Spurs in need of three crucial points

Tottenham have won just one game in the last three and can ill-afford any more slip ups if they are to secure a place in the top four.

Forest may be struggling at the wrong end of the table, but they will be fighting for their lives and could make life difficult for Spurs.

The Lilywhites will be glad to be on home soil after winning seven of the last eight games at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

In total they have won 11 from 15 home games this season and should make it 12 from 16 in the early hours of Monday morning.

Spurs picked up a 2-0 win when the two sides met back in December, and the same scoreline can be backed at 9.50.

Richarlison was among the goals that day, but Tottenham will have to do without him on this occasion. The Brazilian has a knee issue, so once again most of the goalscoring responsibility will land on the shoulders of Heung-Min Son.

Son has scored seven goals in the last 11 games at home and is priced at 1.95 to score at anytime, or 4.50 to grab the first of the game.

Forest fighting for their lives

Forest have shown they are up for the relegation dog fight as they are unbeaten in the last three fixtures.

Following 1-1 draws against Luton and Crystal Palace, Forest picked up a 3-1 win over Fulham on Wednesday night.

New Zealand striker Chris Wood grabbed one of the goals in that game and can be backed at 4.00 to score at anytime against Tottenham.

Forest have failed to win in their last five away games, losing three and drawing two.

However, showed that they can win on the road when beating Newcastle 2-0 back in December.

Forest have goals in them, but have only kept one clean sheet in their last 20 Premier League matches and over 2.5 goals in the game is available at 1.44.
