Tottenham's season could yet be rescued by them going all the way in the UEFA Europa League and they will be eager to secure an advantage in the first leg of their semi-final against Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt.
A crushing 5-1 defeat at champions Liverpool was Spurs' latest poor performance in the English Premier League and Aussie head coach Ange Postecoglou will want to see much better from his players in the early hours of Friday morning.
Norwegian champions Bodo/Glimt, meanwhile, are very much surprise semi-finalists but they cannot be underestimated, having seen off FC Twente, Olympiacos and Lazio on the first three knockout rounds.
Spurs have undeniably been dismal in the English top-flight this season and lie way down in 16th place on the ladder with just four games to play.
Injuries certainly hampered their progress earlier on in the campaign, but even with most of their squad now available they are still struggling, having won only one of their last eight games and that was against rock-bottom Southampton.
In Europe they have been better, having finished fourth on the ladder in the League Phase, before edging past AZ Alkmaar and Eintracht Frankfurt to reach the last four of the competition.
Both of those knockout successes came by a single-goal margin on aggregate, with the victory over Frankfurt sealed by an impressive 1-0 win in Germany, where Dominic Solanke scored the winner from the penalty spot.
Solanke was also on target in the thumping at Anfield, so has two in his last three, having previously gone 11 games without a goal and he is 1.80 to score at anytime at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Skipper Heung-Min Son has been sidelined since the win in Frankfurt due to a foot problem, but may be ready to return to action on Friday, having scored just once in his last 15 club appearances.
Midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur was rested for the loss to Liverpool and is expected to come back into contention for the clash with Glimt, while defenders Pedro Porro, Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven were all unused replacements against the Reds and should also return.
Norwegian champions Bodo/Glimt have enjoyed even more of a European focus than Spurs, with their last completed season having finished in December and their new campaign having only started at the end of March.
They have begun the defence of their title with three wins and a draw and have only conceded one goal in the process and just before then they beat Greek giants Olympiacos 4-2 on aggregate in the last-16 of the UEFA Europa League.
After their domestic campaign had started they eliminated Lazio in the quarter-finals, winning on penalties after the tie ended 3-3 on aggregate.
However, they lost all three of their away games against FC Twente, Olympiacos and Lazio, while in the League Phase of the competition they won only one of their four matches on the road, while seeing off both FC Porto and Besiktas at their own Aspmyra Stadion.
Danish striker Kasper Hogh has been a standout performer with seven goals in the UEFA Europa League already this season, while he has begun the domestic season with four goals in four games.
Hogh 4.33 is to score at anytime on Friday, with Ulrik Saltnes - who scored both goals in the 2-0 home win over Lazio in the first leg of their quarter-final - priced at 7.50.
