The third edition of the Tour d France Femmes begins in the Netherlands on Monday 12th August and will take in eight stages before finishing in Alpe d'Huez, France, on 18th August.
Although not officially a 'Grand Tour', the Tour de France Femmes is the biggest stage race on the UCI Women’s World Tour.
A total of 22 teams will take part in the Tour de France Femmes, with the peloton set to cover a total of 946 kilometres over eight gruelling stages.
The Tour de France Femmes has the potential to be a one-cyclist race with Demi Vollering the hot fancy to win the 2024 edition.
However, there are no certainties in cycling and there are sure to be plenty of twists and turns before the race reaches its conclusion on the iconic Alpe d'Huez.

Twenty-two teams will take part in the Tour de France Femmes and they will battle it out over eight gruelling stages.
Like the men’s Tour de France, the leader of the general classification will wear the yellow jersey and the aim is to hold it until the end of the race.
There will also be the points classification for the sprinters, the mountain classification for the best climbers and the young rider classification for those aged under 23.
The team classification will also be awarded to the best team performance at the Tour de France Femmes.
The Tour de France Femmes takes place annually and begins once the men’s Tour de France has concluded.
Previous editions of the race have begun in July, but in 2024 the start has been put back to August.
The Tour de France Femmes 2024 will begin on Monday 12th August and conclude on Sunday 18th August.
The Tour de France Femmes 2024 will begin in Rotterdam and the peloton will race the first three stages in the Netherlands.
Stage 4 will again begin in the Netherlands before crossing the border into Belgium to finish in Liege.
Stage 5 will see the peloton move from Bastogne in Belgium to Amneville in France.
The final three stages of the Tour de France Femmes will be raced in France, finishing with a mountain top finish on Alpe d'Huez.

The big question is can anyone stop Demi Vollering from defending her Tour de France Femmes crown.
Vollering won the 2023 edition and is the hot fancy at 1.25 to go on and does so again in 2024.
The Dutch star rides for the dominant SD Worx-Protime team and is the stand-out rider in the Tour de France Femmes 2024.
Vollering skipped the Giro d’Italia to ensure she would be fresh to defend her Tour de France Femmes crown.
Katarzyna Niewiadoma also opted to follow the same route, skipping the Giro, and will could be the biggest threat to Vollering.
The Canyon-SRAM rider can be backed at 7.50 to win the Tour de France Femmes.
Normally Elisa Longo Borghini would be seen as a big contender, but the Italian opted to race the Giro, which she won.
It means that her team Lidl-Trek is likely to focus on Gaia Realini for the general classification.
Realini can be backed at 12.00, while Borghini will be an outsider.
