Outright winner odds after league phase draw

With the brand-new league phase of the tournament getting its first run out this season, the draw has thrown up some mouthwatering contests between some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Here’s a closer look at the contenders for the title and the big games they can look forward to in the league phase this term.

Manchester City - 3.00

On the theme of heavyweight clashes, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City can look forward to some exciting away trips as they go in search of a second UEFA Champions League title.

City, who have made a perfect start to their Premier League title defence with three wins from three, will travel to Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus in the league phase.

Inter Milan have also been drawn against the Citizens, with the champions of England and Italy set to clash at the Etihad Stadium.

With the likes of Erling Haaland, Kevin de Bruyne and the returning Ilkay Gundogan in their ranks, it’s little wonder why City are the 3.00 favourites for the title.

Real Madrid - 4.50

Rarely the favourites for the title but still by far the most successful team in UEFA Champions League history, reigning champions Real Madrid will of course be contenders again.

In a repeat of last season’s final, Los Blancos can look forward to hosting Borussia Dortmund at the Santiago Bernabeu.

There are other intriguing contests for Real to prepare for, with a home clash against AC Milan and a trip to Anfield to face Liverpool on the horizon.

Kylian Mbappe adds further quality to a team that won the UEFA Champions League last season and Carlo Ancelotti’s side should certainly be in the mix again this term.

Arsenal - 9.00

Reaching the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League last season before defeat to Bayern Munich, Arsenal will be hoping to go even further in Europe this term.

Mikel Arteta’s side have shown significant improvement in the last couple of years but a major trophy has eluded them.

The Gunners have been handed what looks to be a favourable draw, with two standout fixtures at home to PSG and away to Inter Milan.

Shakhtar Donetsk, Atalanta and Sporting Lisbon will be no pushovers but Arsenal will fancy their chances of reaching the knockouts again this season and are 9.00 to go all the way to win the title.

Bayern Munich - 13.00

After suffering semi-final heartbreak at the hands of eventual champions Real Madrid last season, Bayern Munich will have ambitions to return to the UEFA Champions League final this time around.

New manager Vincent Kompany can look forward to a potential classic against Barcelona, who are also 13.00 to go all the way and win the title under former Bayern boss Hansi Flick.

The Bavarian giants face Barca in Catalonia, while they will also host PSG at the Allianz Arena.

Also with a trip to England to face Unai Emery’s Aston Villa, expect Bayern to be there or thereabouts in the UEFA Champions League again this season.
