A-League: Western Sydney Wanderers out to keep the pressure on

Western Sydney Wanderers will be looking to keep the pressure on at the top of the A-League ladder when they entertain struggling Perth Glory.

The Wanderers sit third on the ladder, three points behind Wellington Phoenix and Melbourne Victory, however, with those two teams set to play each other, there could be an opportunity for Western Sydney to close the gap.

They can be backed at 5.00 to go on and win the minor premiership this season.

As for Glory, they are struggling at the wrong end of the ladder and are priced at 2.50 to finish bottom come the end of the season.

However, they have just given the top two a run for their money, so will be no pushovers at CommBank Stadium.

Wanderers aim to go back-to-back

Wanderers will be aiming to pick up back-to-back wins for the first time in a while when they take on Glory.

They have been on a sequence of win one, lose one, but will be keen to snap that run on Saturday night.

The Wanderers bagged a big 1-0 win at Melbourne City last weekend and are the hot fancies to pick up another valuable three points.

Dylan Pieras got the winning goal against City, and he is priced at 2.62 to score at anytime against Glory.

Western Sydney have won the last three home games against Glory 2-0, 1-0 and 1-0 and under 2.5 goals in the latest fixture can be backed at 2.60.

A 1-0 home win is available at 11.00.

The Wanderers have the tightest defence in the A-League this season, conceding just 12 goals, while Glory are at the other end of the spectrum having let in 28.

Taggart the man for Glory

It continues to be a tough season for Perth Glory, but one shining light has been the form of star striker Adam Taggart.

Taggart scored again at the weekend and now has eight for the season. Without him Glory would be in even bigger trouble.

The striker can be backed at 8.00 to score the first goal of the game and 3.10 to score at anytime.

Glory may have lost the last three on the spin, but two of them were against Wellington Phoenix and Melbourne Victory.

The Phoenix ran out 4-3 winners, while Victory edge another thriller, scoring in the last minute to win 3-2.

It is clear to see where Glory’s problems sit this season, conceding too many goals, and they will be in for another test on Saturday.
