Women's T20 World Cup: Aussies out to avoid Pakistan upset

Australia will be out to make it three wins on the bounce when they face Pakistan in the T20 World Cup Women on Saturday.

The Aussies were far from convincing when beating Sri Lanka in their opening game, but were back on form as they crushed New Zealand in the second.

Australia won by 60 runs and will be looking to inflict similar damage on Pakistan in Dubai.

A massive game with India is on the horizon, but for now all eyes are on the Pakistan clash, and there can be no room for complacency.

Australia can be backed at 1.20 to make the final, but that is the least they are expecting as they push for four titles in a row.

Aussie bowlers dominate

Australia put on a bowling masterclass in their emphatic win over New Zealand, with Megan Schutt the star of the show.

Schutt was named player of the match after taking three wickets for the loss of just three runs, as the White Ferns were bowled out for 88.

Schutt can be backed at 8.50 to be the player of the match against Pakistan, and will be keen to keep her good form going.

Annabel Sutherland also took 3-21 against Pakistan and she can be backed at 7.50 to be Team – Top Bowler on Sunday.

Australia have a 100 percent record against Pakistan, winning all 13 of the T20 games they have played against Pakistan.

That includes three T20 World Cup matches, and they are the hot fancies to keep that run going.

Australia also impressed with the bat against New Zealand, making 148-8 off their 20 overs, after winning the toss and electing to bat.

Beth Mooney top scored with 40 runs off 32 deliveries, and she is priced at 3.75 to be Team – Top Batter against Pakistan.

Pakistan out to cause upset

Pakistan have won one, lost one so far, and will be doing their best to cause an upset against the Aussies.

They beat Sri Lanka by 31 runs in their opening game, and then gave India a run for their money before losing by six wickets, in the next.

Sadia Iqbal and Fatima Sana have both taking four wickets each in the tournament so far, and will be a danger on Sunday.

Iqbal is 3.75 to be Team – Top Bowler, while Sana can be backed at 4.75.

From a batting perspective, Nida Dar has been chipping in with some runs and is a big price at 7.50 to be Team – Top Batter.
